Triple Crown is now a  real-time multiplayer online  horse racing simulation. The game is always running. You can buy, sell, race, bet on and breed horses whenever you log on. At the end of each game year, horses breed, faction costs are paid, and other stats are updated.  Races run about 35 hours after they're set up, to give other players a chance to bet.  Horses can run in as many races as their owners want, and that the game year allows.  All actions and updates occur in the background when players are online, so the more activity, the shorter the game year.   On average, a game year will be about 1 week of our time.
