27-Aug	1		Arrival in İstanbul and transfer to hotel . short orientation  Overnight in Istanbul.
28-Aug	2		Drive to Plovdiv. Visit old town. Overnight in Plovdiv.
29-Aug	3		Head to Veliko Turnovo.  On the way we visit Thracian Tomb in Kazanluk. After a brief stop at the Shipchenski monastery of St Nicholas, we cross Shipka pass.  Our next stop is the Etar Ethnographic village, a UNESCO world heritage site. Its street of Balkan buildings demo traditional crafts, plus historical water mills. Overnight in Veliko Turnovo.
30-Aug	4		After breakfast at hotel, walking tours Tsarevets Citadel and Arbanassi village Free time in Turnovo. Overnight in Veliko Turnovo.
31-Aug	5		Depart for Sophia and visit museum town Koprivshtitsa and Troyan Monastery. Short sightseeing city tour. Overnight in Sophia.
1-Sep	6		Walking tour including Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Serdica archaeological site and old bazaar. Head south to Rila Monastery on the way to Edirne, Turkey.  Overnight in Edirne
2-Sep	7		Visit Selimiye mosque and Beyazit complex which was medical school and hospital during Ottoman times and drive to İstanbul.  Overnight in istanbul.
3-Sep	8		Full day in Istanbul
4-Sep	9		Full day in Istanbul
5-Sep	10		Fly to Tibilsi - Walking tour of Tiblisi Overnight in Tibilisi.
6-Sep	11		Day trip to Mtsketa Jvari monastery Overnight in Tibilisi
7-Sep	12		Depart towards Gori visiting Rabati Castle and short tour in Akhaltsikhe. Overnight in Akhaltsikhe
8-Sep	13		Cross back into Turkey, then visit Savsat Castle and head to Kars. Overnight in Kars.
9-Sep	14		Ancient city of Ani walking tour; later, tour in old city of Kars. Drive to Erzurum. Overnight in Erzurum
10-Sep	15		Full day tour in Erzerum. Overnight in Erzurum
11-Sep	16		Fly to Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul
12-Sep	17		fly home
