| Châtel is in the heart of the Portes du Soleil. The domain, one of the largest in Europe, covers 14 resorts:
8 are French including Avoriaz, Morzine, Montriond, les Gets, St Jean d’Alps, Abondance and la Chapelle.
6 are Swiss: Champéry, Torgon, Morgins, les Crosets, Val d’Illiez, Champoussin.
In all it has over 400 miles of ski slopes, well-served by 208 ski-lifts all accessible using a single, inclusive card.
Châtel consists of two main sectors: Barbossine / Super-Châtel and Linga / Pré-la-Joux, lying between 1100m and 2200m (3600 ft and 7200 ft).
The Châtel ski domain has 49 ski slopes : 5 black, 16 red, 15 blue and 13 green with a total length of 83 km (53 miles).
